A mine planted by Turkish soldiers has exploded in Kanîspî upland in Teşkesen village of Ağrı's Diyadin district. Two children stepped on the mine Saturday noon, which left one of them dead and the other wounded.
Fettah Erdem (15) lost his life at the scene while Sinan Çiftçi (16) lost his legs and arms in the mine explosion near Mount Tendürek.
Both of the minors were in the area to graze their sheep in the upland where they were staying with their families.
