The Iraqi army has surrounded Maxmur camp, accompanied by dozens of armored vehicles, special units, and police in an attempt to put wire fences around it. The people living in Maxmur started a tent protest against this attempt.

Despite the heavy rain, hundreds of people gathered in front of the checkpoint to resist this decision.

Activists stated that they will continue their resistance until the siege is over.
