Sozdar Avesta, member of the KCK General Presidential Council, welcomed the new initiative 'Defend Kurdistan'.

Sozdar Avesta, member of the KCK General Presidential Council, welcomed the new initiative 'Defend Kurdistan'.

The KCK executive said: "Young people, intellectuals, internationalists, artists, women and parliamentarians from 14 European countries have recently come to South Kurdistan and launched the initiative 'Defend Kurdistan'.

Their aim is to prevent an inner-Kurdish conflict that the Turkish state wants and to contribute to Kurdish unity. However, obstacles have been put in their way by the KDP and the German state. Germany has always been the strongest supporter of the Turkish state in the fight against our Freedom Movement. Germany supplies weapons to Turkey and also terrorizes our Freedom Movement."

Avesta added: "The members of the initiative 'Defend Kurdistan' are fulfilling a very important task. I would like to congratulate them on their work and greet them. The members of this initiative are clearly very moral people who represent the conscience of society."
