Thousands paid tribute to KCK Diyar Xerîb and guerrillas Gündüz and Aslan in a moving march in Kandil.
KCK General Presidential Council member Diyar Xerîb (Helmet) and guerrillas Murat Gündüz (Devran) and Abdulkadir Aslan (Şahin Dicle) lost their life as the result of air strikes carried out by Turkey on 5 July.
A moving ceremony was held at the Mehmet Karasungur Martyr Cemetery in Kandil, where all three guerrillas were buried.
Thousands of people from many cities of Southern Kurdistan first met in the Raperin region. The people who wanted to join the ceremony from Maxmur camp were prevented to do so by the KDP in Hewlêr.
The march began after thousands of people reached Kandil with a convoy of hundreds of vehicles from the Raperin region.
Xerîb's sister joined the tribute and women were at the forefront of the march.
At the graveyard, roses were left on the graves of martyrs and after a minute silence the Ey Raqîb anthem was sang.
The Martyrs' Families Association read a statement and so did journalist Hesen Cudi who read the statement by the KCK.
KCK Executive Council member Besta Fırat attended the ceremony and addressed the crowd.
