Turkish soldiers on an operation in Hakkari’s Şemdinli district set a forested area in the Bermêş region near the village of Şapatan (Altınsu) on fire yesterday.

The fire started by the soldiers has been spreading and can be seen from the center of Şemdinli. There has not been any attempt to put out the fire.
