The Community Peacemaker Teams Iraq (CPT), which operates in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, published a report on the children killed in attacks by the Turkish state.
The report once again showed that the commitments of the United Nations "Convention on the Rights of the Child", of which Turkey is a signatory, are being violated.
According to the CPT report published in RojNews, at least 81 children have been killed and 115 injured in attacks carried out by the Turkish state in South Kurdistan since 1991.
The Turkish state most recently targeted a moving vehicle in the Dukan district of Silêmaniyê. Muzaffer Hüseyin Xidir and his two sons, Muhammed Muzaffer (15) and Mubin Muzafer (12), lost their lives in this attack.
In the face of these war crimes and occupation committed by the Turkish state, not only Baghdad and Erbil, but also the international community remains silent.
