Two months balance of Turkish invasion attacks

On 27 May 2019, the Turkish state launched and operation it called “Claw” and invaded Xakurkê (in the province of Hewlêr), Bradost and other regions.

Two months on after that first invasion of 27 May, Turkish fighter jets have bombed Bradost, Qandil, Behdinan regions 50 times and attacked in 44 different areas.

Five civilians were massacred and 16 people were wounded in the invasion attacks carried out by the Turkish army in Basur in these 2 months.

On the first day of the invasion attacks in Xakurkê, the Turkish army brought in 30 helicopters and landed many soldiers to the mountains of Shafiq and Evdilkofi.

In the first stage of the operation, the Turkish army carried out air strikes on the region for a long time to take control of the regions of Shafiq, Evdilkofi, Lêlkanê and Xakurkê.

Clashes erupted in the region as the guerrillas responded to the attacks of the Turkish state.

On 28 May, a day after the attack launced by Turkey, Iraqi president, Berhem Salih, went to Turkey and held a one hour closed-doors meeting with Turkish presidente Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, and the head of the Intelligence Services (MIT), Hakan Fidan were also at the meeting.

On the other hand, at a time of invasion, the KDP sent 15 vehicles of military equipment and a large number of peshmerga to Bradost and Berbizina.
