The sixth term elections for the Kurdistan Regional Parliament have officially begun at 07:00 this morning.
Approximately 3 million voters will cast their votes in the cities of Duhok, Hewler, Sulaymaniyah and Halabja.
PUK leader Bafel Jalal Talabani cast his vote at the Rewshan School in Sulaymaniyah. In a statement to the press after casting his vote, he said: “We will end this monolithic government.”
Bafel Talabani also thanked SDF commander Mazlum Abdi for his support.
