HPG / YJA Star guerrillas are resisting Turkey's attacks until their last breath. Fırat Çekdar is one of the guerrillas taking part in the resistance in Heftanin.
Guerrilla Çekdar said that the invasion attack launched by the Turkish state against Heftanin has left one year behind, and added that the enemy could not achieve a result. Guerrilla Çekdar remarked that latest attacks, those launched since 16 June, have been very intense: indeed, Xantur alone has been bombed 72 times. But as a result of the clashes that lasted 3 days and 3 nights, the Turkish state suffered heavy blows, said guerrilla Çekdar.
"The enemy was thinking of coming and invading the region. We ambushed the enemy here and surrounded them. Many soldiers and mercenaries left their weapons and fled. About 60 enemies were sent, but only 20 went back. Some died, some went missing.”
In Pirbula, said guerrilla Çekdar, the Turkish state was given a big lesson. “They used all their warfare in Pirbula, attacking both from the air and land, but they did not get any results against the professional guerrilla."
Guerrilla Çekdar drew attention to the fact that a war is being fought in 4 parts of Kurdistan.
Underlining that the Turkish state aims at destroying the Kurdish people and occupying Kurdistan, guerrilla Çekdar said: "Turkey especially wants to occupy South Kurdistan and make it a part of their country. Lastly, they burned 3 houses in the village of Banike."
The HPG guerrilla continued: "Their target is not just the PKK. Their goal is to seize the Kurdish people and the land of South Kurdistan. But as guerrillas, we will not allow our people to be murdered and our lands to be occupied. We will always meet the enemy with resistance."
