The HPG Press Centre has issued a statement about the latest actions by guerrillas and invasion attacks of the Turkish army in Kurdistan territory. The statement published on Wednesday includes the following:
“As part of the Cenga Xabur Revolutionary Campaign, in the Metîna region:
On July 13, at 07:30, a coordinated guerrilla action was carried out against the invaders in the Girê Azad area. The first group of guerrillas hit 2 where the invaders were located at close range. While 3 invaders were killed there, 2 positions were demolished. The second group destroyed the two surveillance camera systems on the hill.
Our YJA Star forces carried out this successful action in commemoration of the ‘July 14 Great Death Fast Resistance’.
On July 13, between 22:00 and 00:30, Turkish helicopters were seen on the Qaşura line of the Metîna region. The vicinity of the villages of Êdinê, Kêste and Hirore in the Kanî Masî sub-district of Amadiya district were shelled by attack helicopters.
As part of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Campaign, in the Avaşîn region:
On June 1 at 13:00, our YJA Star forces carried out a successful action against the invaders in the Tabura Ereban area. At least 1 invader was killed during the action.
On July 13, at 22:00, the invading Turkish army attacked the battle tunnels in Werxelê by using explosives and poisonous gases.
On July 14, at 09:30, the invading Turkish army, which remained helpless against our forces in Werxelê, tried to send a dog with an attached camera to the battle tunnels. This dog was neutralized.
On July 13, at 18:40, the Goşînê area in the Xakurke region was shelled by fighter jets.
We did not have any casualties as a result of the attacks.”
