YJA Star guerrilla Binevş Vejîn, fighting for a free life

YJA Star guerrilla Binevş Vejîn, one of the leading and symbolic commanders of the Cenga Xabûr Martyr War Maraş Revolutionary Campaign, fought until her last breath for a free future with his comrades.

Thousands of fighters in the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle sacrificed their lives for a free future and a meaningful life. One of these fighters was Binevş Vejin.

Born in Wan on a cold autumn day, Binevş Vejîn (Yonca Gökalp) grows up in a patriotic environment. Realizing that her country had been invaded by the enemy at a young age, Vejin saw that the people were undergoing cultural assimilation. Binevş Vejîn, who could not remain silent about the actions of the enemy, joined the freedom movement with great determination in the autumn of 2014 together with her aunt.

YJA Star guerrilla Binevş Vejîn's path to freedom began in the Kato mountains in 2014. In the guerillas, she takes the name Binevş Vejîn and began a new life. She carried out successful missions in Zap, Çarçêla, Xakurkê, Metîna and Garê. A brave and determined fighter, YJA Star guerrilla Binevş Vejîn takes on an important role and mission throughout her combat life. Growing up with the ideology of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, guerrilla Binevş Vejin becomes a self-sacrificing fighter. Talking about her dream of seeing Öcalan on the walls of Amed, Vejîn said: “I will do whatever it takes to make my dream come true. I will give my life for this cause if necessary. Even if I cannot do it, I know that my comrades will make my dreams come true.”

Fighting for a free future

Guerrilla Vejîn fought for a free future together with her comrades and sacrificed her life. She fought the enemy with great ambition and vengeance.

Guerrilla Binevş Vejîn, one of the leading and symbolic commanders of the Cenga Xabûr Martyr War Maraş Revolutionary Campaign, together with her comrades Amed Avesta and Baran Çirav, resisted the enemy until her last breath and fell as a martyr on 26 November 2022 in the Girê Hakkarî Resistance Area in Metîna.
