YPS General Coordination announced that 16 special operations police officers were killed, 3 armored vehicles were destroyed and 3 drones were downed during the Martyr Çırav Initiative of YPS and YPS JIN fighters in Siirt.
3 TARGETS IN THE CENTER HIT SIMULTANOUSLY
YPS stated that the Martyr Çırav Initiative of YPS and YPS JIN fighters began at 03:00 on July 15 and continued until the evening of that day, and 3 targets where state forces were positioned at were targeted simultaneously. The Sere Zine Hill, Eastern Barracks and Cumhuriyet Outpost were hit with semi-automatic weapons, and the numbers of dead and injured state forces at these locations have not yet been clarified.
2 ARMORED VEHICLES DESTROYED
Special operations police officers tried to enter neighborhoods after this action, and 1 Kobra-trype armored vehicle and 1 Akrep-type armored vehicle were destroyed during the clashes that broke out in Ulusoy neighborhood.
5 POLICE KILLED, 3 DRONES DESTROYED
State forces then used civilian vehicles to enter neighborhoods and 5 special operations police officers were killed and 3 reconnaissance drones were destroyed during the clashes near Ulusoy neighborhood. YPS and YPS JIN fighters have possession of 1 of these drones, and have also destroyed an armored vehicle near Sakarya neighborhood.
STATE FORCES AT GAP TAXI STOP TARGETED
YPS and YPS JIN fighters carried out an action against the special operations police officers at Gap Taxi Stop, and 1 officers was killed and another one was injured here.
SURVEILLANCE CAMERA DESTROYED
2 state forces were killed and one surceillance camera was destroyed during the action on Şextilki hill around 09:00.
8 POLICE KILLED
1 police was killed near Sıvıka neighborhood and another 7 were killed near Congbayır neighborhood during the clashes between state forces and YPS and YPS JIN fighters.
16 POLICE KILLED IN TOTAL
In total, YPG General Coordination stated that 16 special operations police officers were killed, and 3 armored vehicles and 3 drones were destroyed during the clashes in Siirt.
State forces, who were able to enter the neighborhoods after 5 days, are randomly shelling the area and have injured 1 mother and her child during the attack.
