YPS General Coordination announced that the resistance units carried out an action on July 10 on Van 7th Army Corps positioning center with heavy weapons. The YPS statement reads:
“The missiles have hit the Army Corps’ ammunition warehouse and the warehouse has exploded. The number of casualties is not certain yet.
On July 11, between 13.00 and 14.00 hours, state forces launched an operation on Xaçort neighborhood. Clashes broke out between our units and the state forces. The number of casualties in the clashes has not been determined yet, while one of our members have been martyred.
People have gathered in the clash neighborhood and displayed a great resistance against the state. The state forces have attacked the resisting people. They have partially fallen back due to the great resistance displayed by the people, and our martyred member’s body has been wrapped in flags.”
YPS declared that the fighter’s name is Marinos born Sarina.
