36 members of al-Qaeda affiliated armed groups have been killed in clashes with western Kurdistan's People's Defense Units (YPG)  in the region of Tal Abyad (Girê Spî) in Rakka.

According to the reports received from the region, YPG fighters carried out an attack against the gang groups in Mehmudiye village, in the west of Tal Abyad, at around 10 p.m. on Monday. Sources close to YPG said that 35 gang militants were killed and many others wounded in the clashes which till early morning.

Gang groups launched a number of attacks in the villages of Susike and Birkini, in the west of Tal Abyad, in the last two days. At least one member of the gang groups was killed in clashes with YPG fighters.

Separate clashes broke out between YPG and al-Qaeda affiliated gang groups in the village of Sefa in Çilaxa region of Girke Lege. Clashes are reporting to be contiuing.
