A 5-day hunger strike will begin today at DEM Party Ankara Provincial Organization in support of the hunger strike that political prisoners have been carrying out for 60 days.
The hunger strike launched by political prisoners in many jails in Kurdistan and Turkey on 27 November 2023 to ensure the physical freedom of Kurdish people’s leader Abdullah Öcalan and to solve the Kurdish question, has entered its 60th day.
The People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Ankara will launch a solidarity hunger strike at its Provincial Organization.
The hunger strike started this morning at 9am in the provincial building, and will end on Tuesday (30 January).
DEM Party, HDP, component parties and Revolutionary Party will also support the hunger strike.
The Peace Mothers will join the hunger strike on Monday, 29 January.
