Activists handed out leaflets and explaining the reason that led DTK co-chair and HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven to go on hunger strike.

Revolutionary Youth Movement (Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger) and Young Struggle members organized a solidarity action with the University of Cologne.

Activists potested the threats and attacks carried out by Turkey against Rojava and pointed out the disturbing cooperation between Turkey and the German government.

Activists entered various classrooms and the canteen in the university handing out leaflets and explaining the reason that led DTK co-chair and HDP Hakkari MP Leyla Güven to go on hunger strike.

“Defend Rojava and Leyla Güven” said the activists, reminding that the HDP deputy has been on hunger strike for 83 days.

Speeches emphasized that Erdoğan is carrying out massacres in Kurdish regions using German weapons.

Noting that Leyla Güven is putting herself and her life at risk for millions of people, activists urged the release Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Students supported the action with applause.
