Speaking in Konya Emine Ayna said the constitution prepared after the military coup of 12 September 1980 denied existence of the Kurdish people and recognised every citizen as ethnic Turkish. Similarly, the constitution reform package of AKP government is far from responding the demands of the Kurdish people and their democratic rights.

Ayna further stated that by referendum the government is asking the Kurds to approve a constitution which deny their existence and democratic rights. She also said that BDP will not accept such a constitution and they will boycott the referendum.
