Alleged HPG guerrilla dies in military operation in Agri

In a military operation conducted by the Turkish army in Patnos district of Agri a 28-year old Ö.T from Silvan district of Diyarbakir has lost his life. The officials claimed that the person killed was a guerrilla of the People’s Defence Forces (HPG)

It is reported that the military operation was conducted in the pasture of Cakirbey village in Agri province and the body of Ö.T was taken to the Patnos State Hospital from where sent to Trabzon Forensic Medicine institute for autopsy.

Suspicious armed men in Semdinli threatening the locals

Meanwhile, it is reported that Turkish police in Semdinli district of Hakkari is patrolling in the neighbourhoods wearing ‘Palestinian Scarf’ mostly used by the Kurdish guerrillas.

One of the eyewitnesses who wanted to remain anonymous told ANF that a group of 7 persons wearing similar scarves like the ones used by the Kurdish guerrillas. The witness also stated that he knew one of the suspicious and added: “I know one of them. He is a plain-cloth police officer. I have seen them before waiting on the corners in the streets. Now they appear with scarves. They are conducting contra-guerrilla activities and we are worried about our life security.”
