Allowed to ISIS gangs but not to children

While ISIS gang members can freely cross the border between Kobanê and Suruç, children are being prevented from crossing by the Turkish soldiers.

Three siblings, whose parents were not with them, were able to cross the border by passing under the wires and reached the people holding a vigil at the border.

While the youths and the female and male adults are fighting against the ISIS gangs in Kobanê where the clashes have turned more violent, the children continue to arrive at Suruç for their safety.

Three siblings have reached Suruç by crossing the border under the wires at Merdisimêl 10 km from Kobanê, despite efforts by Turkish soldiers to stop them. 8 year-old Fevzi, 10 year-old Ehmed and 12 year-old Hasan İbrahim crossed the border on their own by going under the wires when they were prevented from crossing the border by the soldiers.

The children were taken care of by people holding the vigil at the border in the village of Dewşen. Their elder brother Navdar İbrahim fights against ISIS gangs in the ranks of YPG while the sisters and the mother of the children have remained in Kobanê. The children say their sisters and mother came to the border but were not allowed to cross it by the Turkish soldiers. But it is now a well-known fact that dozens of ISIS gang members are going in and out through the border under the supervision of Turkish soldiers. It is also reported by the local sources that the wounded members of ISIS gangs are taken through the borderline at the same point to the hospitals in Urfa and Antep for  treatment.
