Attack on HDP election stand in Antalya

In Antalya, an election stand of the HDP has been attacked with stones and sticks. One HDP member was slightly injured in the foot, the party's loudspeaker car was damaged.

A few weeks before the parliamentary and presidential elections in Turkey on June 24, attacks on election campaigns of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) are mounting.

On the Konyaaltı beach in Antalya, an HDP stand was attacked by a group with stones and sticks. When the HDP members resisted, a confrontation ensued, causing the attacking group to disperse.

During the attack, the loudspeaker vehicle of the HDP was damaged. An HDP member suffered a minor foot injury. The HDP filed a complaint.

Also in the city center of Antalya, HDP campaigners were threatened and verbally attacked in a loudspeaker car by the drivers of other cars with the fascist wolf salute.
