Head of the parliamentary group of the pro-Kurdish Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Bengi Yildiz said the person who attacked BDP headquarters yesterday afternoon is the same person who attempted to attack Mayor of Diyarbakir Osman Baydemir and released on account of being insane. “For some reason the insane are not attacking AKP or other parties but the BDP. The Turkish PM and his party are blaming our part for doing ethnic-based politics and make us the target of the mad.” said Yildiz. “We will no remain silent in the face of such attacks” added Bengi Yildiz.

Concerning the attack of yesterday Bengi Yildiz and BDP MP’s held a press conference at the parliament. Reminding the fact that such incidents occurred several times in the past Yildiz said that DTK co-chair Ahmet Turk presented a petition to the Turkish president and asked for sensitivity. He also added that the attacker of yesterday has also attempted to attack the mayor of Diyarbakir but he was released on account of being insane and mentally incompetent.

While asking that why the insane are attacking BDP only Yildiz said: “The mad of AKP are very clever. They can act with nationalistic motivations, and differentiate the targets. They can also plan to kill Osman Baydemir and Ahmet Turk, and attack Akin Birdal as well as Ahmet Turk.”

Yildiz also reminded that the leader of the Organisation of the Turkish Revenge Union (TIBT) based in Holland put voice records in the internet in which he said “We do not want any other race other than Turks in Turkey.” Yildiz further said that not only the mad or nationalists but also the Turkish security forces are attacking the Kurdish MP’s and beating them up in the streets.
