While clashes broke out in Dersim, The Turkish army started a new operation in Van and continues bombing Federal Kurdistan Region
Clashes in Mazgirt
Turkish army clashed with the PKK guerillas in Dersim province last night. The clashes are continuing.
It is reported that in a military operation last night in Mazgirt region of Dersim Turkish soldiers clashed with PKK guerrillas. The local sources also stated that due to fire opened from Sikorsky helicopters the forest land in the area has caught fire. No further details have be obtained regarding the clashes.
Artillery Attack on Haftanin and Darsinki
Due to artillery and howitzer attacks of the Turkish army on Haftanin region in South Kurdistan the forests have caught fire.
It is reported that in an overnight attack the Turkish troops bombed Lawikê Xerip and Siser hills in Haftanin region where is under control of the PKK guerrillas. The fire started as a result is reported to be continuing.
Turkish troops deployed in Cukurca district of Hakkari, on the Iraqi border bombed Darsinki region in Iraqi territory with artillery and mortar shells, early morning today.
It is reported that the bombardment continued for an hour and no information has been received whether any civilians were targeted.

Turkish army started a military operation in Norduz region of Van.
The operation in which Special Forces of Gurpinar Commando Barricades are taking part is escalating around Ongün (Aþxan), Geçerli (Melkoþk), Kapýdað (Sipindar) and Daðseven (Þivreþ) villages.
