Baghdad government: The Coalition has become a factor of instability in Iraq

A day after the new US attack, the military spokesman for the Iraqi Prime Minister said that the international coalition had become a "factor of instability" in Iraq.

US forces targeted a vehicle in Baghdad on Wednesday evening, killing a senior commander of the Hezbollah Brigades, considered to be pro-Iranian.

"This course of events forces the Iraqi government more than ever to put an end to the mission of this coalition, which has become a factor of instability in Iraq and threatens to drag Iraq into a regional conflict," General Yahya Rasul, military spokesman for Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, said in a statement following the attack.
