Baydemir may face three years in jail

A Turkish court demanded three years of imprisonment for mayor of Diyarbakýr, Osman Baydemir for his statements targeting Turkish government after operations against Kurdish politicians.

Baydemir sweared to ruling Turkish government in a press conference. “You can not divide us as hawks and pigeons. F*** off I say. F*** of” he said.

Now the mayor of the most populous town in North Kurdistan can face a three years imprisonment sentence.

A Diyarbakir court demanded three years imprisonment for his statements.

Baydemir’s statements came after Turkish police raids targeting Kurdish politicians including mayors of some Kurdish cities detaining over 50.
