BDP to stage four major rallies on World Peace Day

Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) has released a statement about the major meetings it organized for the World Peace Day, September 1.

According to the statement, four mass rallies are set to take place in Amed, Van, Istanbul and Mersin on September 1.

The rally in the main Kurdish city Amed will take place at İstasyon Square at 4 p.m. The mass meeting will be joined by BDP co-chair Gültan Kışanak, deputies Nursel Aydoğan, Hasip Kaplan, Altan Tan, Leyla Zana and Hüsamettin Zenderlioğlu.

The major meeting in Istanbul will be held at the İskele Square in Kadıköy at 4 p.m. It will be joined by BDP co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş, deputies Halil Aksoy, Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Sebahat Tuncel and HDK (People's Democratic Congress) deputy Levent Tüzel.

Another major meeting for the Peace Day will be staged in Van at 4 p.m. It will be joined by BDP parliamentary group deputy chair Pervin Buldan, deputies Esat Canan, Mülkiye Birtane, Nazmi Gür and Özdal Üçer.

The other major rally will take place in Mersin, at İstasyon Square at 5 p.m. It will be joined by BDP group deputy chair İdris Baluken, deputies İbrahim Binici and Ertuğrul Kürkçü.
