BDP ve DTK co-chairs on their way to Kobane for condolence visit
Co-chairs of the DTK (Democratic Society Congress) and BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) have left for Kobane where they will pay condolence visit to the family of Shervan Mislim Mohamed, the son of PYD (Democratic Union Party) co-chair Salih Mislim Mohamed who was laid to rest on Thursday. BDP and DTK co-chairs are also accompanied by BDP deputies İbrahim Binici and Nazmi Gür and two members of the party executive board.
Shervan had died following clashes between YPG (People's Defense Units) and militants from al-Qaeda linked ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Levant) in Tal Abyad, some 15 km from the city of Kobani on Wednesday.
The delegation of Kurdish politicians is now heading towards Urfa's Suruç district where they will cross the Mürşit Pınar border gate. It is reported that only ten people in the delegation will be allowed to cross the border for the condolence visit.
