Peace and Democracy Party MP Akin Birdal called the Turkish government to take necessary steps in response to the ceasefire declaration of the PKK.
"PKK's demands are reasonable and it's Turkish government turn to take steps to stop this bloodshed" Birdal said in a BDP gathering in Diyarbakýr.
Birdal called the Turkish army to stop all the military operations against Kurdish guerrillas and said both sides must work to create a road map for a peaceful solution of the Kurdish Question.
Birdal also said that the claims of chemical weapon use against Kurdish guerrillas must be fully investigated.
Yesterday PKK declared a ceasefire that will last on September 20. There are no official response from the Turkish government since then.
