"Bad management of the initiative, the ambiguity over its contents and the disappointment it created are all saddening and depressing." That is how Ümit Boyner, the president of the board of directors of TÜSIAD (Turkish Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association), said Thursday.
"But these can in no way justify resorting to violence", she added.
"In all these years, we have failed to solve the terrorism problem by killing more and accepting the deaths of more of our children."
Speaking at a high-level meeting of the association, Mustafa Koç, the chairman of TÜSIAD’s High Advisory Council, called for the creation of a “multi-dimensional, coordinated approach between all strategic institutions, the government and the opposition parties.” Koç underlined that "Finding a solution is everyone’s joint responsibility," Koç said.
