'Children of Fire' claims responsibility for several actions

The Children of Fire Initiative led actions in Izmir Yeşilyurt, Istanbul-Ümraniye, Denizli Merkezefendi and Dilovası of Kocaeli to protest the delivery by post of HPG guerrilla Agit Ipek's remains to his family.

In a written statement the Children of Fire Initiative shared the details of the actions carried out in Izmir, Denizli, Istanbul and Kocaeli.

The statement said that a house belonging to a fascist, police informer and drug dealer was set on fire on 27 April in Yeşilyurt, Izmir.

The statement said: "On 28 April, 4-storey Türk Telekom and PTT branch in Yenimahalle, Denizli-Merkezefendi District were set on fire. Although 16 fire trucks attempted to put off the fire, the PTT branch was turned into ashes.

The junkyard area on Azade street in Istanbul-Umraniye was set on fire.

On 29 April the furniture factory in Dilovası, Kocaeli, was set on fire. The fire caused serious damages."
