A clash between Turkish army and PKK guerillas left at least one guerilla dead in Mava mountain in Batman.

Locals say a clash broke out between Kurdish guerillas and Turkish army in Mava mountain north of Hasankeyf, a district of Batman province.

Last night hundreds of soldiers were deployed to the area while helicopters bombed suspected guerilla positions.

A local resource said at least one Kurdish guerilla was killed during clashes.

Turkish army said the clashed continue. Local resources confirmed the report.

Kurdishs guerilla declared unilateral ceasefire last August to give the peace efforts a chance.

The unilateral ceasefire will expire on June 2011.
