Death toll from coronavirus rises to 214 in Turkey

15,422 tests have been conducted on Tuesday, 2,704 being positive. 46 more people have died today.

Turkish Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca announced on Twitter Tuesday’s figures of the Coronavirus pandemic in the country.

According to the minister, the total number of those infected with the virus has risen to 13,531 and the death toll to 214.

15,422 tests have been conducted on Tuesday, 2,704 being positive. 46 more people have died today.

Koca said that the number of tests conducted today has increased by 25,2 percent in comparison to Monday. The number of testing centres has risen to 75, he said.

“We are quick and advantageous in the detection of positive cases. Let us not make no concessions on social isolation. Contact equals to risk. Please do not forget that,” added the minister.

According to the latest figures, 92,403 people have been tested in Turkey so far and 13,531 of these have been confirmed infected. 847 are in intensive care and 622 are intubated. 243 of those infected have recovered.
