The People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) has decided to bring the Parliament's dismissal of Turkish Workers' Party (TIP) Hatay MP Can Atalay to the Constitutional Court.
The application pointed out that there was no final conviction against Can Atalay, and the Constitutional Court and Supreme Court processes were included in detail.
In its application, the DEM Party pointed out that a final conviction is required for a member of parliament to be dismissed.
The Supreme Court did not recognize the decision of the Constitutional Court.
The application stated that "Although there is no final judgment, collusion was made by taking action as if there was a final judgment. For this reason, it should be determined that the transaction is null and void."
