Kurdish people’s protests for Abdullah Öcalan continue all around the world.
Kurds took to the streets in French capital Paris on Saturday to demand freedom for Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan who is subjected to aggravated isolation by the Turkish regime in Imralı Island Prison where he has been held for 21 years.
The demonstration organised by the Kurdish Women’s Movement in France (TJK-F) and Democratic Kurdish Council in France (CDK-F) started at the Republique Square at 14:00 in the afternoon.
Displaying banners that demanded freedom for the Kurdish leader in many languages, the crowd staged a march to the Democratic Community Centre of Paris.
Addressing the crowd here, KCDK-E (Kurdish Democratic Society Congress in Europe) Executive Board member Murat Ceylan said; “Our resistance will continue until the physical freedom of our leader is achieved.”
The demonstration ended with a call for strong participation in Sunday’s demonstration to mark International Women’s Day at Place d'Italie at 13:00.
