The European Socialist Women's Union (SKB) issued a written statement to underline that the hunger strike carried out by the prisoners demanding freedom of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and the Justice Vigil of their families are spreading.

The statement said: "The prisoners are determined not to end their hunger strike until the aggravated isolation is lifted. We support the demands of the revolutionary prisoners and salute their honorable resistance."

The SKB added: "We are calling out to local and migrant working women in Europe to give voice to the voices of prisoners from the countries we are in. Let's defend their right to life, let's increase social sensitivity by repeating their justified demands and honorable resistance to the areas we are in! Let's support and give strength to ill political prisoner women!"
