According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, an explosion took place at Al Shayrat military airport in the province of Homs.
The Observatory said the reasons for the explosion are not yet clear. Syrian official news agency confirmed there were casualties but did not say how many.
According to Sana, a technical error occurred during the transportation of outdated ammunition and an explosion occurred. According to the Observatory, 31 regime fighters have died.
