The families of the two miners whose bodies have not yet been recovered after the 17 May Zonguldak blast, will not be entitled to their pensions.
Since the explosion at the Karadon Coal Mine, owned by the Turkish Hard Coal Institute, or TTK, that killed 30 workers, the bodies of miners Dursun Kartaþ, 41, and Engin Düzcük, 31, have not been retrieved. This means that it is almost impossible for the families to get their death certificates. And that in turn prevents the families from receiving the pensions they are entitled to.
