FED-GEL calls on everyone to join the 6-day Long March from Heilbronn to Freiburg

FED-GEL called on young Kurdish people to join the 6-day Long March from Heilbronn to Freiburg to demand freedom for Kurdish people's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Young people from Kurdistan will begin their Long March on 5 February from Heilbronn and end in Freiburg on 10 February. The march is to draw attention to the isolation imposed upon Kurdish people's Leader Abdullah Öcalan on the 24th anniversary of the International Conspiracy that led to his capture and to demand his freedom.

Baden-Württemberg (BW) and Bayern Kurdistan Peoples' Federation (FED-GEL), in a written statement, said: "In this historical process, we encourage everyone to participate in the 6-day long march organized by the youth of Kurdistan to demand freedom for our leader."

FED-GEL's call said: “The Turkish state persists in its inhumane practices in the new year as well. It has been applying an unprecedented isolation on Kurdish people's Leader Abdullah Öcalan for the last two years. This is unacceptable! We call on everyone to attend the march that will kick off on 5 February.”

The Long March, which will start from Heilbronn on 5 February, will end in Freiburg on 10 February.
