The operation to liberate Raqqa by YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces continues at full force in its eight day.

ISIS gangs attacked the position of SDF fighters in Sinaa neighborhood east of Raqqa this morning. Clashes erupted upon the response of SDF fighters. 5 ISIS members were killed and a vehicle of theirs was destroyed.

The gangs attempted to launch attack on SDF forces with bomb-laden vehicles at 13:35 Tuesday afternoon. Both vehicles were destroyed before reaching the target upon the intervention of the fighters. Fighting continues in the neighborhood.

On the western front of Raqqa, SDF fighters moved to liberate the Xattîn neighborhood at 18:00 Monday evening. Fierce clashes erupted between the SDF fighters and ISIS gangs stationed in tunnels. 3 SDF fighters were martyred and 5 others were wounded during the fighting.

In the meantime, SDF fighters continue their search and sweep efforts in Romania neighborhood.
