Ahmet Kızmaz, former co-chair of Mersin's Tarsus district branch, has been taken into custody once again after a recent detention and following release.
Kızmaz had been detained on August 18 and referred to a court on alleged charges of “membership to an organisation”. He was later released on conditions of supervision.
An arrest warrant has been issued for former co-chair of Tarsus district branch upon an objection filed by the prosecutor's office to a superior court, after which police raided Kızmaz's house and took him into custody once again.
Following the procedures at police headquarters, Kızmaz was referred to a court which ordered his arrest on charges of “membership to an organisation” and sent him to prison.
