To draw the attention on the isolation of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, Democratic Kurdish Society Center in the Netherlands (DEM-NED) organized a different action. DEM-NED hired a plane which carried a huge banner that read “Freedom for Ocalan”. The plane flew over the Dutch cities of Den Hague, Rotterdam and Arnheim for several hours.
