Gas pipeline passing through Dogubeyazit district of Agri province was sabotaged. While the gas company BOTAS cut the gas flow security forces were deployed in the area.

Gas pipeline carrying Iranian natural gas was attacked at 00:05 today. Governor of Agri province Ali Yerlikaya stated that a remote controlled bomb planted under the pipeline might have caused the explosion.

HPG guerrillas have also attacked Giresun-Ordu gas pipeline on 16 July.
