A German delegation arrived in Rojava on Monday. The delegation is composed by members of the Left Party, deputies and academics.
The delegation was welcomed by Fener El Giet, deputy co-chair of the Council of Foreign Affairs of the Cizre District, and Emine Umer, President of the Women's Council.
The German delegation visited the building of the Foreign Affairs Council in Qamishlo. Here co-president of the Cizre Canton’s Council of Foreign Affairs, Siham Qiryo, counselor of Democratic Autonomous Administration, Mizgin Ehmed and the co-chair of Cultural Arts Council, Ilyas Seydo met the delegation.
Members of the delegation thanked the representatives of the Democratic Autonomous Administration for welcoming them and said that they have come to Rojava to learn about the experience of the Democratic Autonomous Administration, an experience - they said - which must be defended.
Members of the delegation said; “We know that our country, Germany, has supported the Turkish state in its occupation of Afrin. We are working against the politics of the Turkish and Germany states and the attacks on the civilian population of Afrin. At the same time, we want to learn your experience and your project involving every field of life, and we want to take back to our country this experience so that people there will know about it".
The delegation will also visit the institutions in Amude, Kobane and Manbij.
