German police forces have once again attacked the people participating in the Dusseldorf demonstration, facing response from the people with resistance.
Police forces of the German state have once again attacked the people whom they obstructed with barricades and denied access to the area of mass rally against fascism, on the grounds that they carried banned posters of Abdullah Öcalan and flags of YPG and YPJ.
In the face of the violent crackdown during which dozens were injured or taken into custody, demonstrators led by the Kurds turned the area where they were surrounded by the police into a rally area.
Speaking here, KCDK-E (European Kurdish Democratic Society Congress) Co-President Yüksel Koç strongly condemned the attack of the German police.
Speaking after, Kurdish youth organization Ciwanên Azad representative Fırat Dicle said: “We will take no step back in the face of the German police crackdown. We are Apoist youth and we will never accept attacks on our Leader.”
Police attacked the mass on Benrather Avenue once again after a while, in response to which thousands chanted “Bijî Serok Apo” (Long Live Leader Öcalan).
A following statement by the Organizing Committee of the demonstration said: “Thousands have resisted with Öcalan’s posters against attacks of the German police. Our people did not retreat, they resisted and our demonstration achieved its purpose. We are ending our action here.”
