HDP starts Twin Families Campaign

All provincial and district organizations of the HDP will contact families living in their constituencies, with relatively good economic status, and call on them to adopt a "twin family".

The HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party) has launched a 'Twin Families Campaign' in order to reduce the economic effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

The campaign was announced by co-chair Pervin Buldan through the party's social media accounts, since the government has prevented donations and aid campaigns.

Details of the campaign were conveyed to HDP Party Assembly members, provincial and district co-chairs, women's and youth councils and all our elected officials and are as follows:

• All provincial and district organizations will identify "twin families" to help. Families who found themselves in a difficult economic situation, in which members are unemployed due to the pandemic, or who have to work despite the threat posed by the coronavirus will be prioritized. In this context, there are more than 50 thousand families already identified.

• All provincial and district organizations will contact families living in their constituencies, with relatively good economic status, and call on them to adopt a "twin family".

• Discount agreements have been made with the markets determined in certain centers. Delivering 200 TL worth of food packages to twin families is another way to join the campaign.

• All HDP elected representatives (Party Assembly members, Party Council members, deputies, co-mayors) will be leading the campaign by adopting a twin family.

• Each deputy will initially support 10 twin families.
