The Congress of Democratic Societies of Kurdistan in Europe (KCDK-E) released a statement about the ever-increasing attacks of the Turkish state on North-East Syria, which have escalated in recent days, targeting vital facilities and infrastructure in addition to civilian settlements.
"The bloodshedder Turkish army, which suffered heavy losses against the Kurdish freedom guerrilla and resorted to terror to hide its losses, is attacking Rojava. In an attempt to hide its losses, it has intensified its attacks on Rojava, especially in Qamishlo,” said the KCDK-E statement, which further included the following:
"The Turkish state wants to use these attacks, which especially target civilian areas, to gain votes by increasing racism before the elections.
In its 100-year history of oppression, massacre, assimilation and genocide of peoples, the Turkish state has built its existence on this. It has done and continues to do everything to suppress the just and legitimate struggle of the Kurdish people with blood and terror.
Bloody-handed Erdogan and the fascist AKP-MHP alliance unleash their mercenaries on Kurdistan geography and then shed crocodile tears as they make the public opinion in Turkey an instrument to their racist and anti-Kurdish policies.
Having suffered heavy losses against the guerrillas who are waging a legitimate and justified struggle against the ongoing occupation in Bashur (South Kurdistan) and Rojava (West Kurdistan), the invading Turkish army is bombing civilian targets and intensifying its attacks against Rojava in order to cover up its defeat.
Agricultural centres, wheat and seed stores are also targeted by drones and bombardments.
As KCDK-E, we call on our people to take urgent action against this genocidal attack wherever they are, to protest, and to expose the terror perpetuated by the Turkish state to the public."
