KCDK-E calls on people to join actions on 14 August

The Kurdish umbrella organisation KCDK-E called on all Kurds and democrats to join the march to be held on 14 August "against the genocide, invasion and fascism in Kurdistan."

The co-presidency Council of the European Kurdish Democratic Societies Congress (KCDK-E) released a statement calling on "all Kurds to take a national stance and defend Kurdistan against the Turkish state’s invasion attacks. Kurds and their democratic friends should join the marches to be held in all European countries, Canada and Australia on 14 August to enhance the resistance against the Turkish state’s attacks and to defend Kurdistan and the achievements of the Kurdish people."

‘Kurds and democrats should take responsibility’

The statement said: "Kurdistan lands have been under the occupation of the Turkish state. The AKP-MHP fascism continues to implement policies of massacre in all vicious ways to whitewash the deepening crisis. The invader Turkish army, which could not achieve any success and result through its attacks, has also used chemical weapons.

The Turkish state continues to carry out terrorism against civilians through its military bases established in South Kurdistan. Recently, Turkish battle tanks targeted the house of the Zedan Xelef El Isa family living in the village of Sefawiye in Ain Issa. During the attack, 4 members of the family lost their lives."

The statement added that the "AKP-MHP fascist bloc converted Turkey into a prison for people and now seeks ways to stay in power, by provoking racism and conflicts among the people. Pointing Kurdish people as responsible for the forest wildfires which spread everywhere, it favours lynch attacks on civil people.

In the racist massacre which was carried out in Konya, a family of 7 was killed; their houses and dead bodies were burned."

The KCDK-E called on all "democrats and revolutionaries to attend the marches and actions to be held in all countries on 14 August, especially the central march of the Düsseldorf Defend Kurdistan Initiative. All democrats from Turkey, all Laz, Circassian, Assyrian, Syriac, Armenian, Alevi, Muslim and Yazidi people should defend Kurdistan against AKP-MHP fascism for a free and equal co-existence of the peoples."
