KCK: Conspiracy against Öcalan still on
The KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) Executive Council Co-Presidency has released a statement to mark the 15th anniversary of the 9 October conspiracy against PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) leader Abdullah Öcalan.
The KCK pointed out that the conspiracy has not achieved its purpose during the 15 years time and that it has on the contrary made the Kurdish Freedom Movement reach a point shaping the developments in the Middle East.
“Leader Öcalan's determination has proved that historic conspiracies do not prevent developments but accelerate them", KCK underlined.
The KCK remarked that "policies of the international conspiring powers have collapsed and led to a chaos environment within this process during which - it continued - Kurdish liberation movement and its leader Öcalan have created an alternative for the construction of a free and democratic life in the Middle East in line with a new paradigm".
The AKP government - the KCK said - wants "to resume this conspiracy through new ways and methods in order to hinder the Kurdish liberation movement's rise in Kurdistan and the Middle East".
The KCK added that "the Kurdish people and their leader will achieve to build a free and democratic life by defeating the AKP government's attacks on North Kurdistan and Rojava just like they have defeated the international conspiracy through the struggle they have given so far".
