KCKD-E and TJK-E launch "Twin Family" campaign

The "Twin Family" campaign will be carried out through a contribution of 100 Euros per month for a period of 3 months. The campaign organized by TKJ-E and KCDK-E will be carried out through Heyva Sor a Kurdistan.

In a joint written statement, KCDK-E (European Kurdish Societies Congress) and TJK-E (Kurdish Women's Movement in Europe) pointed out that the coronavirus pandemic continues to threaten human life and take lives.

The statement recalled that more than 1 million 300 thousand people worldwide contracted coronavirus and that tens of thousands of people have died so far.

"Coronavirus not only causes loss of lives. - said the statement - This epidemic, which has gripped the world, mostly affects the poor, the laborers and the lives of women.

Our people, who are faced with the genocidal policies carried out by the Turkish state, are also facing economic difficulties. The state's promises of false aid are nothing but lies. Let us meet the needs of the people. The AKP-MHP fascist regime deprives our people of the most basic human needs. Once again it was revealed how this regime does not have any public health policy."

The statement added: "Workers, laborers, peasants, the poor, women, the elderly, and the children face a deep crisis in this unknown future. The Turkish state has intervened very late to counter this epidemic and left the people exposed to uncertainty."

The statement continued: "We have to act urgently to extend the helping hand of solidarity to the people. We are launching a twin family campaign for all Kurdistan (Bakur, Basur, Rojava, Rojhilat), and especially for Maxmur, Shengal and Shehba, by establishing a large network of solidarity.

The campaign will be carried out through a contribution of 100 Euros per month for a period of 3 months."

KCDK-E and TKJ-E invited "people to make the campaign grow, saying: "We need to ensure that everyone is actively mobilized."

The "Twin Family" campaign organized by TKJ-E and KCDK-E will be carried out through Kurdish Red Crescent Heyva Sor a Kurdistan.
