KESK workers on the streets: several arrested

KESK (Confederation of Public Workers Unions) Izmir Branches Platform made a protest against the amendment planned on 657 Numbered Public Officers Law. Walking out to AKP (Justice and Development Party) city building, public workers called for withdrawal of law draft.

The members of the platform opened banners “Don’t touch my job security! No flexible and unprincipled work performance.” During the march, KESK member workers protested the law amendment of AKP government with applauses  and chanted slogans  “Long live class solidarity”.

Making a statement in front of AKP building, KESK Izmir Branchs Platform Speaker Ramis Saðlam stated that they will fight against the amendment draft of 657 Numbered Law in the spirit of 15-16 June.
