KNK establishes Crisis Desk after attacks in Garê

Amidst the escalating tension in Garê, KNK invites all parties to keep their armed forces in their traditional places, to withdraw their approaching forces and return them to their former places and to solve this problem through dialogue.

The Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) Executive Council held an emergency meeting following the escalation of tension in Garê.

A statement issued by the KNK after the meeting said: "The tension mounting after the KDP sent peshmerga to places close to the guerrilla points in Garê gradually escalated. Today (November 4) some bad developments took place.”

Stating that they were feeling "uncomfortable and sensitive" because of this situation, the KNK said: "In order to prevent the situation from worsening and to prevent conflicts, the KNK invite all parties to keep their armed forces in their traditional places, to withdraw their approaching forces and return them to their former places and to solve this problem through dialogue. We also call on all parties, organizations, individuals and the people of Kurdistan to take action and not to allow the forces of Kurdistan to come face to face. "

The KNK listed the decisions taken at the emergency meeting as follows:

1-A Crisis Desk was established to monitor the situation step by step and take the necessary measures.

2- It was decided that a co-chairmanship level delegation would go to Bashur (South Kurdistan) and contact the relevant parties and all other circles.

3- A conference will be held on Zoom in a short time, with the participation of members of Kurdish parties, organizations and individuals.
